things for sale

I've started a Redbubble page, which can be found here. You will be able to buy prints there, though as of right now there's only two available. More will be added as I edit the files into the correct format. I might even make other things available like t-shirts. Also you can check out the slideshow thing:

The Cat's Revenge

So I'm not so good at the posting regularly stuff... Obviously. So here's a speed paint, as well as my favorite piece from last semester.

Yay waterfalls!

Yay Grumpy Cat!

Grumpy Cat and her friend the Grim Reaper are having a bit of fun :) You can't really see Tardar Sauce that well. Sorry, it's a pretty big piece.

Everything I've been doing this semester is in fabric, so I'll upload it when I get a chance to photograph them. I'll probably post a few other things before those go up.

Back from the dead :D

A piece from my senior project class. Hopefully I'll get back in the habit of updating this blog again.

A desert!

I might work on it some more, but not anytime in the near future.

summer work

These are some paintings I did last summer. I figure I should post them now before the new summer begins.

Swirly colors :)

More swirly colors :)

Here is a progression of how I painted last summer. I paint differently now.

Sketch

End result

These are really crappy pictures and I apologize. I'll update them when I get back home and can take better ones.

Summer is coming!

So things are finally winding down at school. Hopefully this summer I'll be able to make art that I care more about, but in the meantime here we have some of the assignments from this semester.

Wintu folktale - Rolling Head part 1

Wintu folktale - Rolling Head part 2

Digital painting triptych

You may recognize the middle panel of my triptych from one of my earlier posts. Also I'm thinking of making the Wintu folktale into a collection of different stories.

Ceramics

Here we have some of the things I've been making on the wheel this semester in ceramics.

These just came off the wheel

These were fired once

Glaze! One will be purple and one will be dark green

I'll post more pictures when they're done getting glazed.

Believe it or not

Assignment for my digital painting class. We had to illustrate an article however we wanted.

Based off of this article: Here

Meow

A wild Pratt cat appeared!

Pratt cat used purr!

It's super effective!

A wild post appeared!

It's been a while... I figure I should post something to prove I'm still alive and making art. So here we have drawings from my life study final.

Wasn't that worth the wait? No? Oh ok... I'll upload more later :) Promise.

TARDIS Mug

I had to copy a cup in ceramics, so I copied my roommates TARDIS  mug. Here's the result:

Before glazing

After glazing

I'm not happy with the color so I'm gonna glaze it again at some point.

Epic Internet

An illustration assignment. We had to make a piece based on 'crossroads.' It's was extremely open ended and allowed me to do this:

The finished piece :3

 My professor approved :)

Figure Painting Finished

I finished my figure painting! I might go back and touch up a few things later, but for now it's done.

I'll take a better picture at some point. Next week we start a new figure painting :)

Figure Drawing

I haven't posted any of my figure drawings here yet... I believe it's high time I did. So here we are, three of my most recent drawings done in class.

I'm still experimenting with different styles, hence the different looks :)

Life and Death WIP

Methods and media project: illustrate life and death in two illustrations. I chose the phoenix because life and death doesn't mean a beginning and an end to me. It a continuous cycle. Here are a sketch and a color sketch of what the two pieces may end up looking like.

I apologize for the crappy quality of the photos. I'll have another update with the finished pieces.

Figure Painting WIP cont...

One of these days I'll start updating on a schedule, but that day is not today. Here we have updates from my figure painting class. Sorry for the bad quality.

Final mono-chrome touch-ups

Skin-tone started

Isn't that exciting... more later.

Toxics in the Environment

My science class final project: do a piece of art that has something to do with what you've learned in class. What have I learned? A mother's arms are a dangerous place for an infant to be. Also her belly; just as dangerous.

Now I'm off to finish the artist statement that goes with this. I may or may not post it... We'll see.

Bunnies WIP

One of my illustration class assignments: do a portrait of someone famous without painting their face. So I will now chronicle what I've done so far from sketch to under-painting.

Really sketchy thumbnail

Slightly less sketchy thumbnail

Sketchy sketch

Under-painting

Exciting... Hopefully you all know who this is a portrait of. I'll post the final painting up when I get it done. This is what I've done so far in the past two weeks.

Figure Painting WIP 2 & 3

So I realize it's been about two weeks since I did an update on my progress for my figure painting class. Here are the crappy cellphone pics I took.

Added a background

Worked a bit more on the figure

So there they are... I'll probably start color this week.
